On Friday 9 June, Specsavers in Ledbury wore red in support of the British Heart Foundation’s Wear It.Beat It fundraising day.

As well as donning their finest red outfits, the team offered to carry out specs MOTs (cleaning and adjustments) in return for a donation. The store was also decorated with red bunting and posters and customers were given sweet treats as a thank you for their support.

John Roberts, store director, said: ‘Heart disease can affect the young and old so we were really keen to get involved and support the awareness day. Everyone had a brilliant time sporting the colour red and we’d like to say a big thank you to our customers who came along and helped us raise £57.’
