Ledbury locals are now able to take advantage of the very best eyecare service following the opening of a brand new Specsavers in the town.
A family affair
The eight-strong team is led by optometrist director John Roberts who will be joined by co-directors; father and son Nialle and Darren Smith. John has previously worked at the store in Hereford and is also from the city.
Day to day, the store will be run by Nialle’s daughter, dispensing optician Rebecca Smith, making it a real family affair. As well as sight tests, customers will also be able to take advantage of free hearing tests carried out at the store one day a week.
A word from the store director
‘We’re thrilled to be opening the new store and are looking forward to welcoming customers through the doors,’ said John. ‘I’ve learnt a huge amount in my years working at Specsavers in Hereford and I’m sure this new store will give me the opportunity to put this into practice.
Our emphasis will be on customer service to ensure everyone has a first class experience when they come to see us. We’ll be using the very latest high-tech optical equipment, including digital retinal photography, which takes a photo of the back of the eye to help pick up a range of conditions including glaucoma, age related macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy. The team is raring to go so please do come down and book an appointment.’
Cutting edge technology
As well as an extensive frame range and contact lens area, Digital Precision Eyecare will be used. This is a cutting edge new way of selecting and fitting customers’ glasses based on their prescription, vision and lifestyle needs, using imaging software on tablet devices.
The store will be open 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday and 9.30am to 5pm on Saturdays. Free hearing tests will be available on Wednesdays.
