Staff at Leamington Specsavers went dotty – literally – and raised £500 for the Royal National Institute for the Blind (RNIB).

The team sported spotty clothing to raise funds for the cause, while channelling their inner-baker - offering customers cakes in return for donations.

Younger visitors had their faces painted, could ‘guess the name of the teddy’ or take a punt at how many contact lenses are in the jar – all to help the fundraising tally.

A word from the store director

‘The team all loved ditching their uniforms for the day, sporting spots and embracing this fundraising initiative,’ said store director, Karl Knightley. 

‘It was a great way not only to raise funds to the support the work of RNIB, but also to increase awareness of its vital work, supporting those affected by sight loss.’

Wear dots to raise lots

The RNIB ‘wear dots to raise lots’ campaign highlights the impact of braille, a unique system of raised dots that can be read by touch.  Learning braille means that blind and partially-sighted people can enjoy reading for life.
