A member of the Leamington Spa team is focusing on raising money for local charities at this year’s Leamington and Warwick Soroptimists’ Swimathon on Sunday 1 November.
For the tenth year running, John Vagg is swapping specs for goggles to participate in the event. His team includes Specsavers colleagues Natalie Geoghegan from Acocks Green and Terry Tam, store director at Stourbridge.
John said: ‘We swim a relay in a team of six for 55 minutes, to see how many laps we can achieve. The event is great fun and raises vital funds for worthy local causes. It’s very well organised and the Soroptimists make it an enjoyable day for everyone.’
The Soroptimists’ Swimathon takes place at Warwick School and raises money for Warwickshire Vision Support and the local Citizens’ Advice Bureau. For more information, visit their website.
