Providing the most professional service and highest quality customer care is of paramount importance to Darren and Deirdre. They continually invest in all of their team providing ongoing training to ensure that they are always up-to-date with the best health and style advice, while providing excellence customer service.

Award winning

This year the Larne team won the ‘Excellence in Customer Service’ Award for the second year running beating off 700 other Specsavers stores throughout the UK and Ireland at the company’s Awards for Excellence held at Birmingham ICC. No fewer than six mystery shoppers assess the store throughout the shortlisting process and judges also sought customer feedback to help them make their decision.

New Recruits

In light of the recent success enjoyed by the store, it comes as little surprise that it has chosen to expand. Optometrist Shelley Black will be joining the team, and the store will now be able to offer double clinics throughout the week. Alongside her new employment, Shelley will also be embarking on a PhD in Paediatric Eyecare at Coleraine University.

First-class honours graduate Hannah Eccles is also joining the award winning team. Hannah is no stranger to the store having worked with the team as an Optometry student since they opened back in 2013. Hannah will now be working as a Pre-Registration Optometrist in the lead-up to her final qualifying exams in June 2016.

Hearing checks

In the Larne store there are qualified hearing professionals who are trained to find the best solution for each individual customer’s hearing needs. Every other Wednesday customers can avail of a full hearing test which takes an hour and is carried out by audiologist Conor Fitzpatrick and trainee hearcare assistant Glenn Haveron is currently being trained to provide this service. The store also offers free three minute ear screening service seven days a week which will quickly identify if more testing is required.
