The Lanark store celebrated 21 years of caring for the sight of people in the town with a spectacular birthday celebration. Specsavers, located on the High Street, held a birthday party for staff and customers on Saturday 23 May to mark the important milestone.
Very first customer
To kick off the festivities, Specsavers in Lanark invited its very first customer, Mr Ian Bryce to the store to mark the occasion. Mr Bryce who celebrated his 80th birthday this year, was presented with a bottle of champagne.
In addition to this, Christine Moffat, who has worked at the store since it opened 21 years ago, was given a bottle of champagne and a voucher for a spa day at Gleneagles in recognition of her outstanding long service.
Staff decorated the store with balloons and banners and also wore 21st birthday sashes throughout the day. Customers and staff were also treated to birthday cake and the store’s director treated staff to a meal at a local restaurant to celebrate.
In store giveaway
Birthday celebrations will continue at the store with a ‘21 prizes for 21 days’ in-store give away. For 21 consecutive days from Saturday 23 May, each customer that visits the store each day will be entered into a draw to win a fabulous prize.
Store director at Specsavers in Lanark, Rubena Kerr, said: ‘We’re very proud of the fact that we’ve been looking after the sight of people in Lanark for 21 years.
The store has evolved a lot in this time, but our commitment to providing a first class service has remained the same.
Many of our customers have been with us right from day one but we also see many new customers every week. We’d very much like to thank every one of them for their continued support.’
