The opticians in Lanark is encouraging contact lens wearers who have fallen behind on their check-ups to book an appointment.

Around one in four contact lens users don’t visit an optician for an aftercare appointment once a year, as recommended by opticians.

Rubena Kerr, store director at Specsavers in Lanark says: ‘I’d urge anyone who has missed their last contact lens check up to get in touch.

‘Our staff are always on hand to answer questions from people thinking about trying contact lenses.’

Specsavers offers a free contact lens trial so customer can try before they buy. Anyone who signs up to the direct debit package will also receive free aftercare, eye test and free pair of glasses from Specsavers’ £45 range.
