Specsavers Lanark celebrated its birthday in style, marking 20 years of caring for the town’s eyes.
The store held a party which included face painting, balloons and cakes, while the Town Crier made sure everyone knew who was celebrating their birthday.
Staff also donated £150 to charities, Guide Dogs and Hearing Dogs, and the first ever customer was given the honour of cutting the birthday cake.
Party in Lanark
Rubena Kerr, store director at Specsavers Lanark, says: ‘It’s hard to believe the store has been open for 20 years and the birthday party was a great way to celebrate the milestone.’
As well as the party atmosphere, customers enjoyed 25 per cent off all designer glasses and everyone who purchased specs was entered into a raffle. Five lucky winners, John Spence, Gordon Kay, Lauren Abernethy, Christine Potter and Dawn Paton, each received a new pair of designer glasses.
Staff were also recently treated to a trip to Gleneagles for a spa day and dinner to thank them for all their hard work.
Rubena added: ‘The store has changed quite a bit over the last 20 years but our main focus has always been offering the best customer service possible. The staff work incredibly hard and it was lovely to take some time out and have a team day at Gleneagles.
‘We would like to thank all of customers for their continued support and we look forward to the next 20 years.'
