Kirkintilloch Specsavers opticians have raised more than £1,500 for charities and local causes in the past year.
The team held a number of fundraising drives throughout 2014, with proceeds donated to Deafblind Scotland, Guide Dogs Scotland and Vision Aid Overseas. A sponsorship deal with Rob Roy FC was also agreed, for the third consecutive year which allowed the club to purchase specially designed training kit.
Supporting the local community
Neil Drain, director in Kirkintilloch, said: ‘As part of the community in Kirkintilloch, it’s massively important to us to give back to the local area and worthy causes.
‘Staff and customers have really enjoyed our fundraising events and it’s very rewarding being able to support such great charities and local causes.
‘I’d like to thank all our customers for helping us to raise such a fantastic figure over the past year and all the staff are looking forward to continuing to support charities and local causes throughout 2015.’
