Members of staff at Specsavers in Kings Heath put the focus on fundraising in the run up to Christmas, taking part in Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day on Friday 14 December.
In a bid to boost the fundraising total, the team from 132 High Street also held a cake sale, raising a total of £135 for the worthy cause.
A word from the store director
‘Christmas is the time of year for giving, and we’re so grateful for the warm response of our local community,’ said retail director, Peter Squire. ‘Save the Children is a fantastic charity that makes a difference to the lives of children all over the world, and we’re delighted to have raised money to help continue this work.’
On Friday 14 December thousands of people up and down the UK started their day by pulling on a Christmas jumper for a great cause – to help create a brighter future for children.
