Staff at Specsavers Kings Heath have raised £285 for charity by holding a bake sale in store.
The team took part in Macmillan Cancer Support’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning by baking a range of delicious treats to offer to customers in return for a donation.
A word from the store director
‘We’re delighted to have raised so much on our charity bake sale,’ said store director, Peter Squire.
‘Everyone made a real effort with baking and we’d like to thank our customers who generously dug deep to support this fantastic cause.’
Macmillan have been running the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning for almost 30 years and it has become their largest annual fundraising campaign. This year the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning saw people, businesses and charities across the UK coming together and hosting coffee mornings to fund Macmillan’s work.
