Kidderminster Specsavers is helping to spread festive cheer at Bewdley’s Christmas Lights Festival on Saturday 28 November.
The Coventry Street store is sponsoring this year’s lights switch-on while the team will be on hand to give away goody bags. The giveaways will include children's high-visibility vests plus free sight test vouchers and the chance to win £100 towards the cost of a new pair of specs.
Store director, Timothy Reeves, said: ‘We’re delighted to be playing a part in Bewdley’s annual Christmas celebrations. It’s also provided a great opportunity for us to give away high-visibility vests which will help to keep local children safe at the event and when they’re out and about during the winter months.’
The high-visibility vests campaign forms part of Specsavers’ support of Road Safety Week (23 – 29 November). The annual event, which is organised by Brake, is an opportunity to inspire communities to take action on road safety and raise awareness of life-saving messages.
The Christmas lights festival will take over the town centre with street entertainers and stalls. With the fun starting at 2pm, the lights will be switched on at 5.30pm by the Mayor and carnival princesses.
