Specsavers Kidderminster raised their glasses to 30 years in business with a week-long celebration in-store.
Week long celebrations
The team hosted a week of fun which kicked off on Monday 6 March, where they invited customers, charities, and members of the local community to join them in the celebrations.
The staff, who all wore 80s fancy dress, hosted a ‘guess the member of staff’ competition, and handed out goody bags. They also used the occasion to hold an awards ceremony for 20 of their long-serving team members, who together celebrated more than 300 years’ service.
A word from the store director
‘It was such a great week for everyone involved,’ said store director Tim Reeves. ‘It’s hard to believe it’s been 30 years since the store opened its doors, but we are so grateful for the ongoing support from our team, our lovely customers and the wider Kidderminster community.
'A special thanks also to Sight Concern, Action on Hearing Loss and The Macular Society who all sent representatives down during the week to join in our celebrations.’
The store opened in 1987 with just six members of staff, carrying out a handful of sight tests each week. Today they have a team of 39 and see more than 500 customers a week, as well as offering audiology services.
