The team at Specsavers in Kenilworth have received a hearty response to their foodbank appeal.
The store has been a collection point for the foodbank since 2014, receiving donations from the community which are then given to local people in need.
As well as saying thank you to all those who have supported the cause over the last couple of years, staff also want to remind people to keep bringing their donations of in-date, non-perishable foods into the store
‘We’ve been overwhelmed with the response – it’s fantastic that we’ve been able to make a difference to so many who are less fortunate than ourselves,’ said Ambreena Ahsan Bhatti, store director at Specsavers Kenilworth.
The foodbank network is part of The Trussell Trust, a Christian charity committed to community action against poverty and marginalisation in the UK and Bulgaria. For more information please click here.
In-date, non-perishable items should be dropped off at the store.
