The team at Specsavers Kenilworth are gearing up to support some special four-legged friends by raising money for Guide Dogs over the next six months.

Fundraising with frisbees

To kick start the fundraising, members of staff from the store attended the Guide Dogs Spring Fair at St Francis of Assisi, Kenilworth on Saturday 5 May, offering branded dog friendly frisbees in return for donations. The team raised more than £50 – contributing to the fundraising total of £1,154.

‘Supporting the work that Guide Dogs does is really important to us,’ said store director, Ambreena Bhatti. ‘As well as seeing the puppies in training around the town we also get to meet some of the guide dogs with their owners, and so can totally appreciate the independence they bring to so many people who are blind or partially sighted. We hope that plenty of people will support us with our efforts to raise funds over the summer months.’

Guide Dogs provide mobility for the blind and partially sighted as well as supporting research, raising awareness and campaigning for the visually impaired. For more information visit the Guide Dogs UK website.
