Loose Women panellist Linda Robson pleased staff when she popped into the Specsavers Islington in North London for a hearing check with store audiologist Ruby.
During her visit to Specsavers Audiology, Linda, 60, was given advice on how best to prevent hearing damage. ‘As I have got older I have noticed I struggle to hear things as clearly as I used too’, admitted Linda.
A word from the chief audiologist
Specsavers chief audiologist Gordon Harrison explains, ‘It takes on average 10 years for someone to seek help for hearing loss, what many people don’t realise is that a hearing test can flag up other health conditions.’
Linda says: ‘I was so pleased to hear that I had no problems with my hearing because you do worry as you get older.'
Experts recommend a hearing test every two years for those over 55 or for anyone with a hearing loss.
