An Irvine opticians has received a top award in recognition of its outstanding people management standards.
The Specsavers store in the Rivergate Shopping Centre received the Platinum Employer accolade to honour the fantastic employee experience it provides.
As an externally validated accreditation scheme, Specsavers’ Platinum Employer aims to raise the bar of people management standards by focusing on five key areas - talent management; recruitment and induction; performance management and reward; learning and development; and employee communications and engagement. Stores are reviewed periodically across these areas – and the Irvine team recently picked up the honour.

Irvine store director Gillian Syme said: ‘We’re very proud that the team has met the criteria required to become a Platinum Employer. People are at the centre of the business and supporting every member of staff to reach their full career potential is a big part of our ethos.
