The 1st Newport Girls Brigade will be safer on their group outings thanks to a donation of high visibility vests from a local opticians.
Specsavers, located at 40 High Street, donated over 40 fluorescent vests to the group as part of an imitative to improve road safety in the area.
Specsavers store director, Catherine Kidd says: ‘We hope our donation will help put parents’ minds at ease when their children are on outings. We believe strongly about road safety and this is a small price to pay to keep the children safe. ’
1st Newport Girls Brigade leader Sandra Brailsford, comments: ‘The girls are delighted with their vests and we are extremely grateful to Specsavers for their generous donation.’
