Specsavers is supporting Road Safety Week this year by providing thousands of high-visibility vests to hundreds of local schools and groups such as Brownies, Guides and Scouts.
It can be difficult for motorists to see pedestrians at this time of year, with the dark mornings and nights, combined with increasingly wintry weather. Many children are walking home from school at dusk, which is a particularly hazardous time.
The Hyton store is joining other Specsavers stores across the nation to pledge its commitment to road safety by providing high-visibility vests to groups in their local area, which will improve the safety of children when out and about by making it easier for motorists to spot them.
Selected Specsavers stores across the region still have high-visibility vests available to donate, contact the store to find out more or click here
