Specsavers opticians in Hull is helping to curb Hull kids boredom this summer by hosting a children’s colouring competition and a range of fund raising activities instore this week, to mark the launch of the new range of Finding Dory frames. 

Prizes up for grabs

Specsavers Hull is inviting local children to visit the store and put their artistic skills to the test. The winner will receive a family cinema ticket to see the film and 100 runners up will win a Dory frisbee.

The long-awaited sequel to Disney’s Finding Nemo tells the story of a forgetful fish, Dory, on her quest to be reunited with her parents. To tie in with the film, Specsavers is launching four new Finding Dory frames into the Young frames portfolio for children between three and eight years, and feature characters including Dory, Nemo and Hank the Octopus.

Exclusive to Specsavers, the frames are part of the £64 range and are free to those with an NHS optical voucher.

The competition is open to children up to the age of ten. For those who would like to enter, visit the Specsavers store on Jameson Street to collect a colouring sheet. All entries must be returned by Saturday 20 August.  

Store director, Neil Pinkey, is looking forward to seeing the entries: ‘It’s always great to get kids involved with instore events; we know that children in Hull are very creative so the team and I are looking forward to seeing and displaying their entries.’

All funds raised from the Dory launch will be donated to the Marine Conservation Society.
