The team at Specsavers Hove have a very special guest outside the George Street store at the moment – one of 50 charity snail statues which are currently brightening up the local area.
The snail trail is in aid of Martlets, who provide hospice care to people across Brighton and Hove, and will be in place until mid-November.
The George Street snail is called ‘The Trail Of Treasured Memories’, and was designed by Sussex born-and-bred artist Liam Smith. It is based on the memories of local residents, whose treasures are shown on a winding path around the statue.
Stop and think
Adam Fuller, store director in Hove, said: ‘We all lead increasingly busy lives, and do not always have the chance to stop and think about where we live and work – or even just to enjoy the sights and sounds around us.
‘The snail trail is terrific and also in aid of a very good cause. To find out more, or make a donation, visit the Snail Space website.’
