The team at Specsavers in Hounslow has completed additional training to provide a greater level of care to customers living with glaucoma.
Staff members from the store have taken a course developed in conjunction with the International Glaucoma Association (IGA), which has helped develop their skills in assisting customers suffering with glaucoma.
The news comes as Specsavers stores across the UK showed their support for World Glaucoma Week (11-18 March), an initiative designed to raise awareness of the condition that is thought to affect around 700,000 people in the UK.
A word from the store director
Ranna Rai, store director at Specsavers Hounslow, has completed the training and said: ‘We’re proud to be supporting World Glaucoma Week, and the extra training the team has received will ensure we are offering the best care to residents living with the condition.’
