Specsavers in Hounslow is aiming to bring a smile to local children this Christmas by donating books to the Hounslow Toy Library.
The opticians is aiming to collect more than 100 children’s books for the charity as part of a festive campaign, and is appealing to local residents to donate to the cause.
Drop off donations in store
The team is urging customers to drop off suitable picture books at the store, along with books that help teach children about situations such as going to school or travelling on holiday.
These will then be donated to the Hounslow Toy Library, an organisation that offers children with disabilities the chance to borrow books, toys and DVDs for enjoyment, stimulation and fun.
A word from the store director
Ranna Rai, store director at Specsavers Hounslow, said: ‘We have been big supporters of the Hounslow Toy Library for many years now and we welcome every opportunity to help them out.
‘We are calling on all our customers to help the library by dropping off children’s books at the store. All donations will help to make a big difference to the lives of children in the borough living with disabilities.’
