Becky, store assistant manager and student dispensing optician, has won a customer service award for her outstanding contribution to the store. Becky began her career with Specsavers four and a half years ago, after her sister encouraged her to consider optics.
Before Specsavers, Becky previously worked as a hairdresser, but sees her future at Specsavers. Becky said: ‘I love my job and I can’t see myself working anywhere else, I’m here to stay!’
More about Becky
Currently on the Ophthalmic Dispensing FBDO course at City and Islington College, 24-year-old Becky is in her 3rd year of and is due to graduate in May 2015. Once graduated, Becky will be a qualified dispensing optician.
Due to how busy the Holborn store is, Becky was delighted yet surprised when she won the award. Becky said: ‘I was having my lunch when my director told me the news and I screamed. I do work hard to provide a quality service but I never imagined I’d be in with a chance!’
Becky’s advice for anyone in customer services is to always smile, do your best to help, and never make anything seem to difficult. It’s this positive attitude that secured her place as a winner.
A word from the directors
Raj Kukadia, store director, said: ‘it’s an honour to have Becky on-board the team. She goes out of her way to help customers and you will never see her frowning. No matter how busy the store gets – which is very often – Becky always remains cheerful, upbeat and helpful. We hope she stays here for the long run!’
Jill Clark, Director of customer service, said: ‘They are an example to all of us. Customers love the service they give, and they fully deserve their prizes.’
