The team at Hoddesdon are excited to announce a new service in-store.
From July, Specsavers Hoddesdon have introduced Blephex, a hygienist treatment for your eyelids which gently exfoliates for clean, clear eyes.
The service is primarily for customers who suffer from Blepharitis, a condition where the edges of the eyelids become red and swollen. It affects 1 in 6 people, and 8 in 10 of those aged over 70 years.
Symptoms of Blepharitis can include itchy, sore eyelids, crusty eyelashes and a burning sensation in your eyes, and increased sensitivity to light. Sufferers also often find contact lenses uncomfortable to wear.
The treatment may also be suitable for people who have red, itchy or uncomfortable eyes, or those who are prone to dry or watery eyes (as a result of contact lenses or otherwise).
The cost of the treatment is £45.
A word from the director
‘We’re so pleased to have received this piece of technology’, says Hoddesdon store director Lee Jobson-Fowle.
‘For sufferers of Blepharitis, a treatment like this can make a world of difference to their levels of comfort. Please ask a member of our team if you are interested in learning more about it – we’d be happy to help.’
