Parents and children from Hoddesdon were invited to join their local opticians for an Easter inspired party in aid of East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices.
Children's eye tests
Specsavers Hoddesdon, held a dedicated Easter clinic for children, teaching them all about the importance of eye health. Each child was given a special Easter goody bag full of games and Easter treats.
There was also a competition to design an Easter bonnet and guess the name of the Easter Bunny. While children learned about their eyes, parents enjoyed various fundraising activities including raffles, cakes and in store competitions to win prizes including designer glasses.
Sarah Flowers, store director, says: ‘We had lots of fun things planned for our Easter party and we hope customers and staff enjoyed the festivities.
Supporting local charities
The support that East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices provide to the local community is invaluable and we are aiming to raise as much money as possible for the charity.’
EACH's fundraiser, Mark Loades said: ‘We are delighted to have the support of Specsavers stores in the Anglia region and are pleased that hope that the local community supported the Hoddesdon store’s latest fundraiser.’
