If a new set of golf balls or a DVD won’t cut it this year, a local opticians has the perfect Father’s Day present in mind…and it won’t cost a penny!
A dashing new style
To celebrate Father’s Day on Sunday 21 June, the Specsavers store in Hillsborough are going to give a deserving local dad a makeover. Specsavers have teamed up with local barbers Stanley’s to offer one lucky dad a haircut, a goody bag and a pair of glasses worth up to £200.
The team in-store has invited pupils at four local schools, as well as all Specsavers’ loyal young customers, to nominate their dads, and they are keen to make sure that the message reaches other children in the area who might like to enter.
Is your dad something special
The competition is open to children of any age, who can enter simply by writing a short paragraph or two or drawing a picture, explaining why their dad is worthy of this special prize.
Entries should be sent to Specsavers on Middlewood Road by 14 June.
A word from the director
Gary Bamford, store director at Specsavers in Hillsborough said: ‘We’re all looking forward to reading the nominations and selecting the winner! We’re so lucky to have the support of our local customers, and this is a chance for us to give something back.
We want to hear why your dad is the best dad ever. Maybe he works for the community, maybe he’s helped you through a hard time or perhaps he’s never missed one of your football games. Let us know!’
Entries can be dropped off or posted to the Specsavers store at 12-14 Middlewood Road, Hillsborough, before the draw closes on 14 June.
The winner will be chosen the following week – make sure you include your contact details so the team can get in touch if you win!
