Specsavers opticians in Hessle would like to thank its customers for helping them raise vital funds for the Hull and East Riding Institute of the Blind (HERIB).
The Specsavers store in Hessle asked customers to donate loose change while having their glasses cleaned, a service that is usually free of charge. Generous customers helped the store raise a total of £574.34 for the local charity.
With more than 150 years’ experience of supporting people with sight loss in Hull and East Riding, the charity currently serves around 2,500 people in the area and is committed to helping people deal with sight loss in their everyday lives.
Kay Weaver, store director at Hessle Specsavers, said: ‘The team and I are very grateful to our wonderful customers who have been able to help us support a local worthy cause. HERIB is a charity that is close to our hearts, so we will carry on supporting them in any way that we can so that they can continue to support the local community in Hessle.’
