The team at Hereford Specsavers would like to say a huge thank you to everyone that stopped by to support the store’s Macmillan Coffee Morning (Friday 26 September).
With the hard work of staff, customers and passersby the store raised £86.54 on the day from donations towards teas, coffees and cakes.
Store director at Specsavers Hereford, Nialle Smith, said: ‘It was great to host such a successful coffee morning. Everyone was talking about the work the charity does to help cancer patients, and sadly, it seems we all know someone who has been affected by the disease.
‘It’s really important that people continue to donate towards the cause to keep this vital support network in place.’
The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is Macmillan’s largest fundraising event and raised more than £20 million last year. The money raised will support the charity in its mission to provide medical, emotional, practical and financial support to more than two million cancer sufferers in the UK.
