The team at Hereford Specsavers welcomed Dame Mary Perkins into the store on Monday 5 October to cut the ribbon to the new-look store, following a substantial refit.
Staff were also on hand to greet customers with mini cupcakes and drinks, with the first 50 customers receiving a green envelope containing special prizes such as free cleaning sprays, sight test vouchers and up to 50% off specs in store.
‘The store is looking fabulous following the re-fit over the summer and the whole team was excited to meet Dame Mary, who came to help mark our official re-opening,’ said Nialle Smith, store director. ‘Our customers are at the heart of what we do, and the recent changes will really add to customers’ experience in store, so it was wonderful to be joined by so many on Monday who helped us celebrate in style.
‘Our upgraded facilities feature the latest in eyecare equipment, including two extra testing rooms alongside a dedicated hearing room and a brand new contact lens centre, so we can offer customers an even better service when they visit.’
Raising cash for charity
Following the store’s recent Macmillan Coffee Morning, which raised £450 for the charity, the grand re-opening also kicked off a month of fundraising throughout October to mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The money raised from donations will go to Breast Cancer Care, a national charity which provides treatment, support and information to those affected by breast cancer.
