The team at Specsavers in Hereford is supporting Macmillan Cancer Support throughout September by hosting a raffle and taking part in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.
Visitors to the store will be invited to take part in the raffle to win a hamper of goodies donated by local shops, for a suggested donation of £1. The team will also host a coffee morning on 25 September, where the winner of the raffle will be announced and customers can enjoy a sweet treat in support of the charity.
‘We’re really pleased to be supporting Macmillan throughout September and are really grateful to the local businesses who have generously donated prizes for our hamper,’ said Nialle Smith, store director at Specsavers in Hereford. ‘The hamper is filled with goodies like chocolates, wine and even vouchers for some local restaurants.
‘We’ll also be baking cakes for our coffee morning on 25 September, so we hope to see lots of customers enjoy a slice of cake and help us raise lots of money for Macmillan!’
Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is the charity’s largest annual fundraising event, encouraging people to come together to enjoy a treat while raising money for the charity. Providing medical, emotional, practical and financial support, Macmillan is there for the more than 2.5 million cancer sufferers in the UK and their families.
