Hereford locals are being encouraged to take part in a charity quiz night being organised by Specsavers in Hereford on Tuesday 5 July at The Welsh Club.
Great night out for a special cause
The store is organising the event to raise money for the Little Princess Trust. Entry is just £6 per person which includes food on the night and all the proceeds will be donated to the charity that provides real hair wigs for youngsters who have lost their own hair during cancer treatment.
‘We are encouraging as many people as possible to get involved,’ said Specsavers Hereford store director Nialle Smith. ‘There’s no need to buy a ticket in advance, all you need to do is turn up on the night. Teams will comprise of up to six people and anyone can come along and join one on the night. The questions will all be based around general knowledge and it’s sure to be fun so, please do come down and help us raise as much money as possible.’
As a result of treatment for cancer, most children will suffer hair loss as a side effect. Some boys and girls cope remarkably well but, for others, this can be very upsetting. The Little Princess Trust works with specialist suppliers and experienced hairdressers who offer wigs tailored to the individual child’s needs to give the most realistic look and feel, as close as possible to their original hair.
