Specsavers Hereford is looking for teams to take part in their charity dodgeball tournament which will raise money for Guide Dogs and Blackmarston Primary School.

Taking place at Hereford Leisure Centre on Sunday 9 June, the tournament will comprise teams of six (two substitutes are also permitted) which must have a minimum of one player of the opposite sex each.

Teams will need to fill in an application form, which is available at the store. Just pop in and pick one up or give the team a call and they will send one out. Forms need to be returned, to the store with the £40 entry fee.

Prizes for the winning teams have been donated by local businesses such as The Beefy Boys, The Burger Shop, Coffee#1, Calandras, The Beehive Florist and Longhorn Barbers with more to be confirmed.

A word from the store director

‘After a year off, the tournament is back. This is the 12th year we’ve run the competition and it’s always great fun,’ said store director, Nialle Smith. ‘It’s something anyone can do, you don’t have to be a regular dodgeball player, it’s more about having some fun and raising money at the same time. There are also lots of great prizes up for grabs which have been kindly donated by local companies so please do get involved if you can.’
