Dig out the colouring pens and pencils because Specsavers in Hereford is holding a creative competition to raise money for BBC’s Children in Need this November.
From now until Friday 28 November the store will be holding a Pudsey colouring competition for children. There will be three age categories with a donation for entry; up to five years, 6-8 and 9-11. Entry forms are available to collect from the store now, and the winner of each category will be awarded a selection of colouring goodies.
The team will also be showing their support by wearing their PJs to work on Friday 14 November in a bid to raise awareness of the appeal and the support it provides for disadvantaged children across the UK.
‘There are so many children and young people across the UK that need help so we try to support the BBC’s Children in Need appeal each year,’ said Nialle Smith, store director at Hereford. We hope that by holding this day of fundraising that we can help raise awareness while also having some fun.’
The BBC Children in Need Appeal aims to make a positive change to the lives of disadvantaged children and young people across the UK. The charity currently supporting around 2,600 projects that are working with children facing a range of disadvantages for example, poverty and deprivation; children who have been the victims of abuse or neglect or disabled young people.
