The team at Specsavers in Hemel Hempstead is gearing up to welcome local MP Sir Mike Penning to its newly relocated store this Saturday 7 April.
The former shadow minister for health will cut the ribbon alongside store directors Shane Abbas Bhimani and Daniel Harris, to officially open the store, which has relocated to 252-254 Marlowes.
Staff will also welcome a magician and balloon artist and would love to see Hemel residents in store on the day to help celebrate the occasion.
A word from the director
Store Director, Daniel Harris said: ‘We’ve been providing eye health services to residents in Hemel Hempstead for over 20 years and, thanks to their continued support, we have now outgrown our original store.
‘Moving location has allowed us to double in size so we can now see twice as many customers every week.
‘We look forward to welcoming Sir Mike Penning into the new store and hope to see lots of familiar faces there on the day for magic tricks and more.’
The store is equipped with nine optical testing rooms and two audiology rooms. It also will soon boast a state-of-the-art Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) scanner - an advanced eye scanning system, which is usually only found in hospital eye departments and can help detect eye conditions such as glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy.
Daniel added: ‘Sir Mike Penning will cut the ribbon at 1pm this Saturday and our magician and balloon artist will be performing throughout the day, so if you’re in town please pop in and see us – we’d love to see you there.’
