Helston’s Fairy Godmother took a break from performing at the Epworth Hall and joined the the Mayor of Helston Councillor Gillian Geer, to draw the winning tickets for a raffle led by Helston and Falmouth Specsavers stores, in aid of Children’s Hospice South West.
Local partnerships for a great cause
Led by optical assistant Victoria Flinders, the locally owned Specsavers stores teamed up with other local businesses to source raffle prizes and raised over £400 in the process.

Raffle prizes included hair products, sports equipment, cuddly toys, gardening equipment and a children’s Kindle fire.
Local business owner, Specsavers Falmouth and Helston store director, Paul McGrane said: ‘On behalf of Victoria and all the businesses that helped contribute to the Children’s Hospice South West raffle and to everyone that bought a ticket, I’d like to say thank you. You have supported a wonderful cause. Finally to all the winners, congratulations.’
