And the eye care experts at Specsavers Haywards Heath in South Road have one tip for all of us this summer which will help us keep our eyes healthy – wear sunglasses.
A word from the store director
Jason Barlow, store director in Haywards Heath, explains: ‘Wearing sunglasses is really important in protecting your eyes. Think of them as sun cream for your sight.
‘The harmful rays in sunlight can increase your risk of age-related macular degeneration and cataracts. So to keep your eyes healthy, keep them covered this summer.’
