Anyone wandering into Specsavers Haywards Heath this Children in Need might have been forgiven for thinking they had wandered into their local cinema instead.
That is because staff at the store, in South Road, had dressed up to celebrate the day – as some of the best known characters from children’s movies.
Customers enjoyed the sight of everything from Minions to Oompa Loompas – and even a unicorn!
The team held a competition to count the number of Specsavers bugs in a jar – and also took part in the official Children in Need Duck Race. In total, the store raised £109 for the charity telethon.
A good cause
Trevor Hoare, store director in Haywards Heath, said: ‘The team had a great day, and were delighted to have raised money for such a good cause at the same time.
‘We would like to thank our customers for being so generous, and hope that they had as good a time as we did.’
