A customer visiting the Specsavers Havant store has hailed the team for ‘saving’ her after she suffered a nasty fall and broke her glasses.
Pamela has written in to express her thanks to staff for swiftly finding her a pair of replacement specs following the accident last month.
Pamela said: ‘As I was down in the area from the north of England, specifically to look after my two small grandchildren, I was worried as I couldn't manage without the glasses. I have varifocals with a special coating and quite an unusual prescription.
‘I was looked after by Mark who went over and above to help me. Long story short, he called my own Specsavers branch, established my prescription details, then called the local lab to see if they had the (distance only) lenses in stock.
‘They did, so I then chose a pair of frames and he called another local branch near the lab to see if they had them in stock.
'They did, and before I knew it, the frames had been physically taken over to the branch by a store assistant, and I was able to collect my completely new pair of glasses the following morning at 9am. Very, very impressed – thanks for saving me!’
