Two lucky customers at Specsavers Hastings will be getting way more than their five a day over the next couple of weeks – thanks to a raffle prize they won at the Priory Meadow Shopping Centre store which highlighted the importance of healthy eating to eye health.
To celebrate National Eye Health Week, the team gave away a bumper fruit and vegetable basket created by Carrolls Greengrocers in nearby Ore Village. The store raised £37 in raffle ticket sales, bringing their fundraising total for the week to £128.71 for the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB).
Rob Lofting, store director in Hastings, said: ‘Eating a sensible diet is really important to maintaining good eye health, and good general health. I would like to congratulate our customers Mr and Mrs Finch on their win and hope they enjoy all that lovely fresh produce.
‘I would also like to thank Carrolls Greengrocers for creating such an impressive display, and all of our customers for their generosity during National Eye Health Week.’
