Specsavers Hastings did their bit for charity at the end of March, by taking part in Wear A Hat Day for Brain Tumour Research.
And the store in Priory Meadow Shopping Centre, Queens Road, raised a terrific £79.40 by selling muffins in store.
Thanks from local MP
The team even received a letter from local MP Amber Rudd thanking them for their efforts to raise funds for the charity, which is seeking to improve funding for brain tumour research.
Currently only 1% of the national spend on cancer research is allocated to brain tumours.
Thanks to our customers
Rob Lofting, store director in Hastings, said: ‘The team really enjoyed taking part in Wear A Hat Day, and we were delighted to raise a good sum for the charity.
‘We would like to thank our customers for their generosity, and Amber Rudd for her kind words in support of our efforts.’
