If you are suffering from glaucoma and want a little extra support, why not pop down to Specsavers Harlesden.
Some of the team at the High Street store have recently taken a training course to help them upskill in glaucoma management – specifically in how to support customers with the condition to effectively administer their eye drops.
Support for sufferers
Treating glaucoma effectively is really essential as it can help prevent further sight loss due to the condition, which can be symptomless in the early stages.
Specsavers have developed the new training in conjunction with the International Glaucoma Association.
Get an eye test
Navdeep Sharma, store director in Harlesden, said: ‘Once you have lost some of your sight to glaucoma, it cannot be restored – so regular eye tests are really important.
‘Although glaucoma is more common in older people, it can affect anyone at any time – so make sure you take your eye health seriously by having regular eye tests.’
