Staff at Specsavers in Hampton St Clares Sainsbury's have taken on extra training to help them deliver greater care to customers suffering with glaucoma.
Members of the team have completed a training course developed with the International Glaucoma Association (IGA) in order to learn more about the condition, which is thought to affect around 700,000 people in the UK today.
It comes as Specsavers stores across the UK showed their support for World Glaucoma Week this month (11-18 March), an incentive designed to raise further awareness about the condition.
A word from the store director
Keval Pabari, store director at Specsavers Hampton St Clares Sainsbury's, has completed the training and said: ‘We’re proud to support the International Glaucoma Association in its mission to educate people about glaucoma.
'The training we have received will enable us to provide even greater service to customers with the condition.’
