Staff at Specsavers in Hamilton took time out to focus on the big Lanarkshire derby on Saturday with help from a Scottish FA match official.
Referee visits store
Referee Crawford Allan joined staff at Specsavers in Hamilton this week, ahead of the Hamilton Academical v Motherwell clash on 5 March. With both teams battling it out for survival in the lower half of the Scottish Premiership, the game is a crucial one in the fixtures calendar.
Just after his visit to the store, Crawford headed off to New Douglas Park to be fourth official at Hamilton v Celtic, and will be referee at the game on Saturday.
With more than 25 years’ refereeing experience, category one referee Crawford has officiated at games across the globe. He was involved in Champions League games for five years and has been a Scottish Premiership referee since 2006.
