Specsaver in Hamilton welcomed some furry customers lately - guide dog puppies in training, in a day of fundraising.
The opticians hosted a charity collection day for Guide Dogs Scotland. Customers had the chance to see the dogs in store, and speak to their handlers about the work of the organisation helping local blind people.
Improving the lives of people with sight problems
The event was aimed at generating funds for the charity, and to make customers aware of all the hard work that goes into training the guide dogs so they can improve the lives of people with sight problems.
Pauline Skea, store director said: ‘Guide Dogs Scotland does a lot of fantastic work in the community. We were delighted that we had the chance to have puppy walkers in the store to raise awareness.
‘We are so grateful to the customers who come along on the day and donated to Guide Dogs Scotland and found out a little more about the amazing work that’s done in local communities like ours.’
