Kind-hearted members of staff at Specsavers in Hamilton jingled all the way in Christmas jumpers to raise money for youngsters in need. The store hosted a festive fundraiser for Save the Children on Friday 12th December.
Every member of staff who wanted to wear a jumper texted £2 to a special text donation line, and customers visiting on the day could donate in collection tins.
Other activities on the day included a raffle, a food sale and a ‘What’s on the Christmas jumper?’ sweepstake.
The day was a great success and raised a total of £147.48 for the cause. Dispensing optician Nishma Patel says: ‘Christmas can be a very difficult time for children all over the world. It’s important to us that we do our bit to help make life a bit better for them.
‘A big thank you to all staff and to everyone who donated.’
