Specsavers in Halesowen has been recognised for its high standards of health and safety with a prestigious award after passing a tough inspection.
The store was awarded Platinum status for its health and safety practices following an annual visit from Santia health and safety risk management providers, who praised members of staff for their hard work and attention to detail.
Store manager Lindsay Madge said: ‘We’re delighted to have secured Platinum status for our health and safety audit. The whole team has shown commitment to the health and safety of customers as well as colleagues over the past four years, and we consistently work hard to make sure that processes are followed.’
The accreditation was secured after demonstrating excellence in all areas of health and safety, including alarms, fire safety and equipment used in store.
The Platinum award is the highest accolade a Specsavers store can be awarded for health and safety efforts.
Store director Shahid Parvez added: ‘I want to say a big thank you to all of our staff for ensuring that health and safety regulations are met, with particular thanks to Lindsay who has worked extremely hard to help our store excel in this important area.
‘We put health and safety at the forefront of all we do and are very happy to be able to display our achievement.’
