The team were delighted to provide the 1st Knaphill Scout Group with lots of high-visibility jackets recently to keep them safe and seen when out and about.

The jackets first outing

The jackets were worn for the first time during an annual litter collection and clean up. Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, leaders and parents turned out to support this great event that forms part of the Scout Group’s calendar.

'This is the seventh year we have run a New Year litter pick and I am pleased to say generally the streets of Knaphill were less littered than previous years,' said Group Scout Leader Tracey Daniell.

'All were keen to use their litter pickers and keen to compete to see what unusual rubbish they could find. Several passersby commented on what a good job the young people were doing and how cheerful and polite they were.'

Thank you to Specsavers

Tracey continues: 'We are also indebted to Specsavers Guildford for the donation of hi-vis jackets which we used for the first time.'
