Specsavers in Guildford has donated high visibility vests to a local school to promote Road Safety Week (the week commencing 17 November).

St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School

300 vests were given to children at St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School to raise awareness of the initiative, which was started by the charity Brake, a national road safety charity which seeks to prevent deaths and injuries happening on the roads.

Being safe at night

Store director Andrew Lewis says: ‘We want children to be safe at night, particularly as it’s got darker.

‘Parents can now rest easier knowing that their children are visible when they’re walking to school or are out on school trips.’
