Staff at the Greenock opticians completed a 5k with a foamy difference in aid of Ardgowan Hospice.

Battling bubbles to raise funds

Specsavers in Greenock raised £730 in aid of the charity by completing the Bubble Rush which took place in Bellahouston Park.

The team faced a sea of bubbles and cannons firing out coloured foam as they tackled the fun-filled 5k route.

A word from the store director

Lesley Brown, store director at Specsavers in Greenock, said: ‘Supporting Ardgowan Hospice has been a huge focus for the team and we loved participating in this latest challenge in aid of this wonderful cause.

‘The Bubble Rush was lots of fun and a superb opportunity for the team to bond over the bubbles.

‘We’re delighted to make another great donation, which follows our headline sponsorship of the Ardgowan Hospice Masquerade Ball.’

The team last donned their running shoes in aid of the hospice to take part in the Jingle Bell Jog, raising more than £830.
